Our 'Marais-Vosges' Paris vacation apatment is located in the heart of the Marais, just down the road from the notorious 'Place des Vosges'. For many, this pre-revolutionary quarter represents Paris life at its best. A microcosm of the treasures that make Paris, well, Paris. Swamped with craft workshops, innovative galleries, ancient alleyways and lavish town mansions, modern Paris life blends into the remnants of a vivid past. Dotted with art galleries, authentic cafés, bistrots and art galleries, there's something to suit all tastes. Located on the 2nd floor of the charming 18th Century 'Hôtel Herouet'. Such 'Hôtels Particuliers' were originally built by the wealthy Parisian aristocracy of the 17th-18th Centuries. 'Marais-Vosges' is one of only 5 Paris apartments, lending the feeling of a private country house. Access via a private courtyard adds to the sense of calm. The apartment's aspect is predominantly South-facing, some rooms facing East. Windows give onto a private terrace which remains empty year-round. Airy and bright, this Paris vacation apartment is well suited to the Summer vacation months and offers a cosy retreat in the Winter.
The apartment has been fully renovated by a Paris architect (March '06) to a very high standard. The space is immaculate. 2 marble bathroom with power showers, 2 WCs, luxurious kitchen. Separate utility room housing separate Miele washer and dryer. It goes without saying that there is a plasma TV, DVD player, cable TV and wireless ADSL acess.
'Marais-Vosges' sleeps 6 comfortably. There are 2 double bedrooms with King-Size beds, 1 double sofa bed designed for everyday use. At 'Pad-A-Terre' we hate sofa beds, so ensure that those who sleep there have certainly not drawn the short straw. Every last detail has been thought of. There is traditional oak flooring throughout and and beds have been specially imported from London. Bed and bath linens come from the prestigious 'White Company' in London who supply leading British and Parisian hotels.
Whether you decide to spend your Paris vacation in 'Marais Vosges' or indeed another Paris vacation apartment, we look forward to making your vacation in Paris a truly memorable one.

In the historic quarter of the 'Marais', just across the river from Notre-Dame, life, art and culture pour out in a rich stream that splashes the streets with colour. Sip Jasmine Tea at the elegant 'Mariages Frères' where Paris chic meets colonial ambience. Follow the ancient street signs engraved in stone. Explore medieval alleyways. Push open doors leading to romantic courtyards. Add a fairytale dusting of lavish "hotel particuliers" (private mansions) with gilded gates and graceful gardens and the Marais is the best of Paris distilled into a strong, seductive brew that will leave you thirsty for more.
